A: To convert your trial version into the licensed version, all you need is to purchase a license key. You can purchase your license in our Online Shop and register your application through the Help->Registration... menu option. Our Download section lists the limitations of the trial version.
A: See a list of supported interfaces at our Third-Party Hardware Support section.
A: Check if your CAN-Interface is correctly connected and appears in the Windows Devices and Printers list, or in the Windows Device Manager. Especially when connecting the fullmo USB2drive for the first time, or to a different USB port, Windows can take up to one minute until the device is fully recognized and ready to use. A dedicated driver installation is not required.
Then go to the CAN Interface module in Kickdrive, and check the Communication Port settings. For fullmo USB2drive interfaces the default setting (first found) works, for third-party devices you need to choose or enter the name according to the Kickdrive User Manual - CAN Interface table.
NOTE: If you see two red flashing LEDs on the USB2Drive accessory, please refer to the notes on incomplete firmware updates in the section Troubleshooting.
A: You can enter hex values in the "Value / Editor" column using either a 0xF634 or a F635h format. From then on, all values will be displayed in HEX, and you can re-read the current value from the device. Binary representation is also possible, using a 0b10110101 style format.
A: See the user manual at Project and Templates for information about making changes directly in the .kickpro XML file for your project. If your project is in .kickzip or .kicktpl format, use the Kickdrive menu Save As... and choose Kickdrive Uncompressed Project (*.kickpro) as file type.
For editing the documentation text, search for the <html> tag.
NOTE: Kickdrive supports special href targets that start with #app to create hyperlinks that point directly to a Kickdrive module or other relevant information. E.g. use <a href="#app:panel,CAN Interface">CAN Interface</a> to point to the CAN Interface Kickdrive module of your project.
A: Install www.7-zip.org to the default location, and create a file called MakeKickZip.bat with the following line:
del "%~dpn1.kickzip"
"C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7z.exe" a -tzip "%~dpn1.kickzip" "%~dp1*" -r -x!*.kickzip -x!*.kicktpl -x!*.qmlc -x!*.jsc -x!*.svn -x!.gitignore -x!*.user -x!*.pdn -x!*.bat -x!*.git
"C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7z.exe" a -tzip "%~dpn1.kickzip" "%~dpn1.kickpro"
Put the MakeKickZip.bat file as an icon on your desktop, then just drag&drop a .kickpro file it and a .kickzip file is created. Btw - the above example already avoids than .git source control or other internal files end up in the .kicktpl. Modify this as needed.
